United Exhibitions enters 5th "event"ful year

We at United Exhibitions celebrate our fourth year anniversary on 5th December 2013 and happy to enter the 5th “event”ful year.

Our Journey from December 2009 to November 2013:United Exhibitions was incepted on 5th December 2009. Our first event “UE The Jewellery Expo” – an exclusive B2C jewellery exhibition and sale was held at The Residency, Coimbatore, India during 23rd to 25th January 2010. This event was a runaway success and it had participation from 22 jewellery houses from across India and over 8000 high-purchasing visitors’ footfall during the three day event.

Since then there was no turn back for us. The success of our first was just enough to boost our morale and it encouraged us to explore new avenues which had high potential for business to our exhibitors. We succeeded in exploring new markets for jewellery houses where no such jewellery B2C events of this size were organized. We found Chennai, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, which all were a runaway success in terms of exhibitors and visitors participation.

MADURAI JEWELLERY SHOW 2013 does a brisk business during the dampen gold price and supply condition

United Exhibitions organized its 3rd edition, Madurai Jewellery Show 2013 in a new and larger size, compared to last two editions, to accommodate and showcase the largest and latest jewellery collections on precious metals, gem and stones, machinery, technology and accessory services. The 3rd edition, MADURAI JEWELLERY SHOW 2013 was held during 26 - 28 April 2013 at PTR Mahal, Madurai.

Despite the market condition when the gold price was tumbled to 15-month low and other metal prices slumped to a record a low, MADURAI JEWELLERY SHOW 2013 had a brisk business with the participation from leading companies exhibiting their best of best limited jewellery collections at their stalls. Apart from gold jewellery section, the business at silver and platinum jewellery section also had an outstanding business.

The visitors were overwhelmed to see some of the leading jewelry manufacturers from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan under one roof.

• Living Legends - Meeting of Great Masters - an exhibition/workshop showcasing crafts of International Master Crafts persons from across the globe alongside Master crafts persons from India. It is a one of a kind event where International Master Crafts Persons will have an opportunity to share their skill, their work, their competencies, their life and their vision for the future of crafts with Indian Master Crafts Persons.
  
• An International Craft Expo where about 40 artisans from different countries of the World Crafts Council and others will showcase and sell their high quality crafts. Some of these crafts have received the UNESCO Award of Excellence. This programme is restricted for International exhibitors only.
  
• An International Craft Film Contest, a competition open to students of colleges and universities from all over the world. Entries will be 8 – 10 minutes long, on craft based topics. The contest is an innovative approach to spread awareness among students about craft and create an archive of traditional craft films. The winning entries will be screened at International Film festivals. The best three films will receive a citation and a cash award of USD 10000, 5000 and 3000 (INR equivalent) respectively. • Vastra – the textile show:
  Out of a million strands of tradition, legends and myths – from the substance of the everyday life of a community and out of nature’s own rich storehouse was woven a creative and forceful textile art. Vastra will showcase these creative textiles using different techniques of dye painting, resist dyeing, printing, tie-dyeing, weaving and embroidery. It will attempt to show the contemporary relevance of India’s rich and traditional textiles. On sale will be scarves, stoles, running material and some designer wear.

Madurai is geared to host the second edition and largest focused B2B jewellery tradeshow of down South India.

Madurai Jewellery Show 2012 (MJS 2012) is the largest focused B2B jewellery tradeshow of down South India. MJS 2012 is presented by Madurai Jewellers and Bullions Merchants Association and organized by United Exhibitions. The second edition of MJS 2012 will be held from 20th July to 22nd July 2012 at Hall No. 1 and No. 2, PTR Mahal, Race Course Road, Madurai.  Visting hours will be from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm on all the tradeshow days. MJS 2012 is supported by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (Govt. of India).

The show will be inaugurated by MR. SANJAY MATHUR, I.P.S., COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, MADURAI CITY on 20th July 2012 by 10.00 am in the presence of  Mr. M. Balasubramanian, President, Madurai Jewellers and Bullion Merchants Association at Auditorium Hall, PTR Mahal, Race Course Road, Madurai.

With the onset of festival and the marriage season, this is the period when jewellery retailers in down South will source jewellery from various parts of the country to meet the demand in their local market, which will sparkle all the more brighter during the festival season. Inspite the continuous steep rise in gold price, gold jewellery has always captivated Indian for ages and it will still continue to be so.


Hence, the objective of “Madurai Jewellery Show” is to bring the world of jewellery from jewellers across India to the door steps of jewellers who usually go to several parts of the country to source their jewellery requirements.
