Further to the response of 2nd edition, Madurai Jewellery Show 2012 and based on the  positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors alike, United Exhibitions will be holdings its 3rd edition, Madurai Jewellery Show 2013 in a new and bigger venue, to accommodate and showcase the larger and latest jewellery collections on precious metals, gem and stones, machinery, technology and accessory services.

The 3rd edition, MADURAI JEWELLERY SHOW 2013 will be held during 26 - 28 April 2013 at PTR Hall, Madurai. MADURAI JEWELLERY SHOW is the FOREMOST and ONLY PREMIER TRADESHOW for GEM and JEWELLERY INDUSTRY in this part of the country. The last editions have proven that MJS as the only ideal sourcing platform for members of Madurai Jewellers & Bullion Merchants Association and other association members to source jewellery from different parts of India under one roof closer to their door steps.

Madurai is geared to host the second edition and largest focused B2B jewellery tradeshow of down South India.

Madurai Jewellery Show 2012 (MJS 2012) is the largest focused B2B jewellery tradeshow of down South India. MJS 2012 is presented by Madurai Jewellers and Bullions Merchants Association and organized by United Exhibitions. The second edition of MJS 2012 will be held from 20th July to 22nd July 2012 at Hall No. 1 and No. 2, PTR Mahal, Race Course Road, Madurai.  Visting hours will be from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm on all the tradeshow days. MJS 2012 is supported by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (Govt. of India).

The show will be inaugurated by MR. SANJAY MATHUR, I.P.S., COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, MADURAI CITY on 20th July 2012 by 10.00 am in the presence of  Mr. M. Balasubramanian, President, Madurai Jewellers and Bullion Merchants Association at Auditorium Hall, PTR Mahal, Race Course Road, Madurai.

With the onset of festival and the marriage season, this is the period when jewellery retailers in down South will source jewellery from various parts of the country to meet the demand in their local market, which will sparkle all the more brighter during the festival season. Inspite the continuous steep rise in gold price, gold jewellery has always captivated Indian for ages and it will still continue to be so.


Hence, the objective of “Madurai Jewellery Show” is to bring the world of jewellery from jewellers across India to the door steps of jewellers who usually go to several parts of the country to source their jewellery requirements.


Madurai Jewellers and Bullion Merchants Association (MJ&BMA) is the largest body of the jewellers in South India and they present MJS 2012. They have the ability to pull the jewellery members from over 80 associations in down South India to this unique tradeshow.   Mr. M. Balasubramanian, President – MJ&BMA says, “After the success of first edition of MJS, we are proud to present the second edition of MJS which has now positioned itself as the largest jewellery sourcing fair for the jewellery retailers from down South India. The members of various jewellery associations from down South India are looking for this tradeshow with huge expectations and we are sure MJS 2012 will not let them down in any aspect. We expect over 8,000 foot falls and to get benefit from this tradeshow.”

MJS 2012 will also have on display besides the latest collections of diamond, gold and silver jewelry from some of the leading jewelry manufacturers from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan under one roof thus showcasing the best of India. Jewellery apart, this show will also feature allied products and services related to this industry like software, equipment, machinery, training centres and so on.


KVKR Prabaharan, Chairman, MJS 2012 Organizing Committee says “Concurrent to MJS 2012, we also have GOLD Conclave and Workshops on all the exhibition days. GOLD Conclave is a 3 day techno-commercial seminar in regional language addressed by eminent experts from jewellery industry. The Workshops is organized by Gemological Institute of America (GIA), India. These concurrent events will throw light on education the jewellers enabling them to implement the same to promote and develop their knowledge and business.”
