The show had participation from leading jewellery manufacturers from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan all under one roof. With nearly 112 stalls, close to 4,000 traders are reported to have visited the three-day event.
"The show is an initiative of our Association and United Exhibitions to create a platform for our association members and other association members from down South Tamilnadu enabling them to source jewellery from different parts of India under one roof closer to their doorsteps,"said M Balasubramanian, President, Madurai Jewellers and Bullion Merchants Association.
Apart from jewellery, the show also featured allied products and services related to the GJ industry like machinery, training centres and online solution providers.
Concurrent to Madurai Jewellery Show, the thematic regional seminar Gold Conclave was also organized during all the days of the tradeshow. It has delegates from Bureau of Indian Standards 0 regional office, Chennai and Micro, Small and Medium Entreprises -DI, Chennai addressing the delegates emphasing the importance of registering the MSME and BIS. They also briefed the subsidies that are available. The highlight of Gold Conclave was the session "about jewellery cluster"addressed by H Sundaresan, Founder - Friday Solutions Pvt. Ltd., who briefed the government financial schemes that the jewellery cluster could avail from enhancing their business.
